60 to 80 guests for cocktail-style, semi-private events (no minimum spend)

OUR SPACES
BEER GARDEN
The Empress Beer Garden is perfect for no-fuss, casual events for groups of 20–80. Heated with a retractable roof, it's suitable for all seasons.
We can rope off a dedicated section for you and your guests to enjoy within the pub atmosphere. For section bookings, there is no min spend, no hire fee and no deposit required. There's also no obligation to arrange catering or a bar tab, though both can be organised with our kitchen and bar team.
The Beer Garden is also ideal for larger parties looking to host a sit-down lunch or dinner.
For groups larger than 80 or more exclusive events, the Beer Garden can be booked privately with a minimum spend.
DINING ROOM & PUBLIC BAR
The Dining Room is available to be booked for stand up style casual drinks or sit down dinners with a la carte, banquette, or set menus.
The Public Bar has tables available to be booked by smaller groups looking to host informal drinks and nibbles in a relaxed environment.

USEFUL INFO + T&Cs
Any finger food orders will need to be confirmed with a deposit 10 days prior to your event. We can be flexible on numbers (within 10 people) up until 48 hours out from your event.
If you’re booking a section of the Beer Garden (i.e. a roped-off area) the space won’t be completely secluded from the rest of the pub - as such, there is no scope for guests to decorate the space, host speeches, or play their own music. If this is a deal breaker for you, we can look at booking the Beer Garden or Dining Room for your exclusive use with a minimum spend.
We host functions year ‘round - our minimum spends change depending on what time of year and day of the week you would like to host your event. Please get in touch with us to enquire about your desired date.
